Join in the walk starting 1 Sept 2002, from Central Alabama to the Wall in
Wash DC...  route progress will be updated on their web site

 below taken from web site

Anyone who wishes to participate, may walk or ride in this fantastic
pilgrimage. All may gladly do so and are greatly welcomed. You may join us
for the full length of the journey or even just walk a few steps, as you
choose. You can meet us anywhere along the route line or meet us in your
city or town as we come through and fall in step with the ranks of our crew.
If you want to carry the flag and feel the deep meaning in bearing that
special cloth, you may do that also. This walk can include every proud and
supportive American who wants to make the claim, as many who choose to go.
In fact we very much hope you all will. If we filled that mighty highway up
with marchers of heart it will be just fantastic! It will be both exciting
and meaningful to all. Veterans are most surely wanted and welcomed to walk!
If you cannot walk alone unassisted be assured, we will be there for you.
But whether another soul joins the caravan or not, it's on the way. I will
walk. Using cell phones and two way radios, everyone involved in the actual
moving detail will keep in close, constant touch with each other and base
operations to keep everyone updated on our progress as we go. New
information will be posted on our website as it all comes in from the
procession line. There will also be a basic map applied on the site of the
actual route taken with the movement made updated regularly to show how far
we've gone. We will post pictures taken along the route line of Veterans and
support we encounter. Thousands of cities and towns will be passed through
on this trek. As each is approached, the volunteers in our mobile operations
will call ahead to ensure the local Veterans that the dedicated crew, who
champions their cause, is near. We greatly look forward to all those who
plan to come out to meet us.

>From the collective use of several maps and atlas among our route crew,
we've come up with a comprehensive list of cities we will go through or near
within a 20-30 mile radius of the route. But this isn't all I'm sure. If you
are in any of these states and live on or around the route line and know of
names we've left off, please let me know so we can put this on the site too.
We're trying to inform people where we'll be coming through so they can come
out to be with us as we go. If you want to walk with us, by all means, fall
in!! If you want to drive in the procession, start your engines!! And
please, show the world you support our special Strike Force with  blue and
yellow, or black and white ribbons!!!

Let's show them all how many people are out there who's backing us!!!

Come add strength to the voice!!!
